2 Types of Non Epileptic Seizures

• Cardiac Seizures – Triggered by irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias) that reduce blood flow to the brain.
• Migraine-Related Seizures – Seizure-like symptoms linked to severe migraines, often with visual disturbances.
• Sleep Disorders (Narcolepsy/Cataplexy-Related Seizures) – Sudden loss of muscle control or consciousness due to sleep-related issues.

Epileptic vs Non Epileptic Seizure

Epileptic and non epileptic seizures can be hard to differentiate. Both episodes show similar symptoms, however, as stated above, the two episodes differ in the cause. Aside from that, the recovery for both also has differences.

On the other hand, non epileptic seizures are more caused by overwhelming emotions, which the brain cannot contain, thus these emotions overflow and affect the movements of the body.
