However, there are other candidates with better qualifications.

Confirmation Bias

This happens when you believe information that confirms pre-existing beliefs and look for evidence to contradict them. For instance, a manager dismisses the good performance of a female employee because of her gender. The manager believes that female employees are not competent in technical roles. The Halo Effect

The Horns Effect
